We're looking for individuals who are not only passionate about the outdoors but also possess the skills and experience necessary to lead safe and enjoyable treks. This includes experience in:
Leading multi-day trekking expeditions: Experience guiding groups of varying sizes and fitness levels through challenging terrain is crucial. Knowledge of navigation techniques, including map reading, compass use, and GPS navigation, is essential.
Risk assessment and management: Safety is our paramount concern. Candidates must possess a strong understanding of risk assessment methodologies and be able to effectively manage potential hazards in a mountain environment. First aid and wilderness first responder certifications are highly desirable.
Environmental awareness and sustainability: We are committed to responsible and sustainable tourism practices. Candidates should demonstrate a strong understanding of Leave No Trace principles and be passionate about protecting the environment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills: The ability to communicate effectively with diverse groups of people, both in English and Mandarin Chinese (Mandarin proficiency is highly preferred, but not mandatory for all positions), is essential. A positive and patient attitude is a must.
Physical fitness and endurance: The job demands excellent physical fitness and stamina. Candidates should be comfortable hiking for extended periods in challenging conditions.
Cultural sensitivity and understanding: Lijiang is home to a rich and diverse culture. An understanding and respect for local customs and traditions is crucial. Experience interacting with diverse cultural groups is a plus.

Available Positions:

We are currently hiring for the following positions:
Lead Hiking Guides (Multiple positions available): Responsible for leading and guiding trekking groups, ensuring safety, providing informative commentary, and creating a memorable experience for clients. Previous experience leading multi-day treks in a similar environment is essential. Fluency in Mandarin is highly advantageous for this role.
Assistant Hiking Guides: Support Lead Guides by assisting with group management, navigation, safety, and client support. Experience in outdoor guiding or a related field is preferred.
Logistics and Support Staff: Responsible for logistical support during treks, including gear management, transportation coordination, and camp setup. A valid driver's license is desirable for this role.
