Today's location is a particularly interesting one – a secluded stretch of the Yangtze’s tributary, known locally for its healthy population of silver carp.

Before we get started, let me give you a bit of background on the gear I’m using. I'm opting for a light spinning setup today, ideal for the silver carp we're targeting. My rod is a six-foot medium-light action, paired with a 2500-size spinning reel loaded with 6-pound test braided line. This setup offers excellent sensitivity, allowing me to feel even the slightest nibble, crucial for successfully hooking these notoriously finicky fish. My lures for today are a selection of small spinnerbaits and crankbaits in natural colors, mimicking the small baitfish the silver carp feed on.
