My passion for outdoor photography began years ago, spurred by a simple desire to capture the majesty of the mountains that cradle Chengdu. I remember my first hike up Mount Qingcheng, a Taoist sacred site renowned for its misty peaks and ancient temples. The experience was transformative. The sheer scale of the landscape, the crisp mountain air, and the breathtaking panorama unfolding before me ignited a fire within me. That day, I realised that capturing the beauty of the natural world wasn't just a hobby; it was a way of life. Since then, I've explored countless trails, from the challenging slopes of Mount Emei to the gentler paths winding through the bamboo forests of Sichuan.

My photographic style is heavily influenced by the duality of Chengdu’s environment. I strive to capture the raw, untamed beauty of nature, showcasing the texture of ancient trees, the vibrant colours of wildflowers, and the dramatic play of light and shadow on the mountains. Simultaneously, I find myself drawn to the urban grit and energy of the city. The bustling streets, the vibrant night markets, and the intricate architecture all serve as a powerful backdrop to my images, showcasing a different side of Chengdu’s character. The juxtaposition between the serenity of nature and the dynamism of the city is a central theme in my work. One of my favourite photographic subjects is the changing seasons in the mountains surrounding Chengdu. Spring brings a vibrant explosion of colour as wildflowers bloom across the hillsides. Summer offers lush green landscapes and the refreshing coolness of mountain streams. Autumn paints the mountains in fiery hues of red and gold, creating an unforgettable spectacle. I meticulously plan my shoots around these seasonal changes, ensuring I capture the essence of each season's unique character.
