Outdoor Picnic Mishaps: A Hilarious Script228

INT. PARK - DAYSOUND of birds chirping
KAREN and DAVID, a young couple, spread out a blanket on a grassy area.

KARENPhew, I'm starving.

DAVIDMe too. Let's dig in.
>He opens the cooler and pulls out a basket filled with sandwiches, chips, and drinks.

KARENOh my gosh, you brought the potato salad!

DAVIDOf course! It's a picnic essential, right?
David reaches for the potato salad but slips on a stray grape. He falls backward, dumping the entire basket on the blanket.

KAREN(Laughing)
>David!

DAVIDI'm okay! Just a little... messy.

KARENWell, at least the ants will be happy.
They start cleaning up the mess, laughing all the while.

KARENWait, where's the lemonade?

DAVIDI thought you brought it.

KARENI thought you brought it.
They search frantically but can't find the lemonade.

DAVIDMaybe it's back at the car.

KARENWe'll have to go get it.
They pack up their picnic gear and head back to their car.

EXT. PARKING LOT - DAYKaren and David reach their car, only to find a flat tire.

KARENNo, not a flat tire!

DAVIDDon't worry, I have a spare.
David opens the trunk to retrieve the spare tire, but instead, he finds a box full of live crabs.

KAREN(Screaming)
>Crabs!
The crabs scatter all over the parking lot, pinching at Karen and David's legs.

DAVIDHelp! I'm being attacked by seafood!
Finally, they manage to trap the crabs and secure the spare tire.

KARENThat was the most ridiculous picnic ever.

DAVIDI know, but at least we'll have a story to tell.
They laugh and drive away, the crabs safely contained in the back seat.

FADE OUT.
