This isn't your typical photography gig. This is an opportunity to immerse yourself in nature, challenge yourself physically and creatively, and collaborate on a unique project. We'll be exploring remote locations, pushing our limits, and capturing the essence of the wilderness. Success in this role requires more than just technical photography skills; it demands resilience, adaptability, and a genuine passion for the outdoors.

The Role:

As the dedicated photographer for these expeditions, your responsibilities will include:
Capturing high-quality photos and videos: Documenting the landscapes, wildlife, and our journey throughout the trip. This includes scenic shots, action shots, and detail-oriented images that showcase the beauty and challenges of the environment.
Maintaining equipment: Responsible for the care and maintenance of your own photographic equipment, including cleaning, charging, and ensuring its proper functioning in various conditions.
Collaboration and communication: Working closely with me to plan shots, discuss creative vision, and ensure we capture the desired imagery. Effective communication is crucial, especially in challenging situations.
Post-production editing: Basic post-processing of images and videos, including color correction, cropping, and minor adjustments. More extensive editing might be discussed separately.
Backpacking and hiking skills: You'll need to be comfortable carrying your gear (camera equipment, personal belongings) while hiking and backpacking for multiple days. Experience with backpacking is highly beneficial.
Safety awareness: A strong understanding of wilderness safety and preparedness is essential. You will be responsible for your own safety and contribute to the overall safety of the team.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:
Proven experience in landscape/nature photography: A portfolio showcasing your skills in capturing stunning outdoor images is required.
Proficiency in using DSLR or mirrorless cameras: A strong understanding of photography techniques, including exposure, composition, and lighting.
Experience with photo and video editing software: Familiarity with Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop is preferred.
Excellent physical fitness and stamina: The ability to hike and backpack for multiple days in varying terrain is crucial.
Strong problem-solving skills: The ability to adapt to unexpected situations and find creative solutions is essential.
Self-motivated and independent worker: You will often be working independently, requiring self-reliance and initiative.
Team player: Ability to work collaboratively and respectfully with others.
